Job Responsibilities

Core Duties & Responsibilities

• Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and engineering specifications to determine the exact dimensions and materials needed. [1]
• Material Preparation: Cut, shape, and measure metals; clean, grind, or file surfaces to ensure proper alignment and fusing. [1, 2, 3, 4]
• Welding Operations: Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment (such as MIG, TIG, and Stick/SMAW) in flat, vertical, or overhead positions. [1, 2]
• Quality Control: Monitor welding temperatures and processes to prevent warping or metal damage. Inspect and test finished welds for accuracy and defects. [1, 2, 3]
• Equipment Maintenance: Maintain tools, heavy machinery, and workstations. Perform light maintenance and report faulty equipment. [1, 2, 3]
